When I was in my middle school probably 10 years old.I remember my english teacher asking the whole classroom "What was your favorite comic book to read in your pastime".Most of the kids in my class straight away replied back to my teacher by saying Batman,Spiderman or Superman the usual popular comic we all know about but only 2 other kids including me answered Archie comic book.
The comic featured the fictional teenagers Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle and Jughead Jones are the main comic characters and it follows their lives as they navigate through high school, young adulthood,love triangle and their surroundings.
I don't know why but I just found that Archie comic was far more interesting than any other superheroes comic book back then when I was a kid.I like the fact that the character did not take themselves too seriously like the other comics.The comic book for me was amusing,entertainable and most importantly lightheartedly fun as well.
What was your favorite comic book to read growing up as a kid back then?

@sica98 I read books, not really comic books. I still read around 200 books a year.

@DaddyEvil 200 books a year
.That's a lot.Reading 100 books in a year is quite the accomplishment I might add.The average people read a year is probably 20 I think,I'm not sure really.

There were certain stories that I followed through comics, but in middle school, I was already into Nancy Drew, Agatha Christie, Hardy Boys, and so forth. I seek unusually-looking pocketbooks and read them. I wanted more and more until I have gotten almost all the top-selling novels.

I am familiar with all three of the one you mention but I must say that I love reading Nancy Drew in my teenage yearrs.I think that Nancy Drew served as a beloved role model thanks to her brilliance, bravery, and independence.I just love her solving mystery and the fact that she's unlike many of her peers at her age.

The only comic book I ever read were also the Archie comic books. I just never got into the super hero realm. My husband, on the other hand, collected super hero comic books religiously, right up until the time we got married. Now we've still got boxes and boxes of them in our back bedroom closet, and we're too lazy to catalog them in order to sell them, LOL!

Growing up, we never had a chance to buy comic books. We only play outside the house or on the street after school.
