She killed it

Bitty is being very wild and playful these last two days. I do not know if she misses the kids, or if she feels the weather changing. She found my Swiffer duster. For those not in the know, it is a plastic handle. That handle has a little fluffy disposable sleeve that fits over a couple of prongs on the end. It slides off by pulling. I honestly do not know why I have it. It must have seemed a good idea at the time, but I prefer not to use disposable items. I have another duster that works on a similar principle but the sleeve is washable. Anyway, my daughter and I cleaned out and moved a large bookshelf. I needed to dust as we did it and I got this duster out. Bitty saw it last night, pulled it out of where I had stored it, and proceeded to pull the dusting part off. She would toss it in the air, then lay on the ground to wrestle it. She gave it powerful kicks with her back legs.It is very dead. Bob and I got plenty of laughs.

Bitty sure is keeping busy. Funny how she found the duster to play with. Does using disposable items help the environment? I think not. I like the concentrated items do a lot more to help. You can use it over and over and save a lot on containers.

I think I bought it so that I could crochet a washable cover for it, but I have never done so.

How cute. Kittens are such funny lil kritters. Well, I suppose puppies are too but not like kittens.

Puppies leave a cuddly and roly poly image in my mind.

They can be until they reach that 3 month age then they become revving biting machines, it's not fun sometimes but looking back it's funny.

Cats are too funny when they fight with objects.

She has shown me very emphatically that she would be a mighty huntress.

@GardenGerty The cat I adopted is not a hunter, he had an accident when he was a kitten and he cannot jump high. The cat of my neighbor is a mighty hunter.

I think a lot of people bought those dusters with their disposable pads... We have the handle hanging on a hook in our laundry room. I prefer using old wash clothes to dust around the house with and just tossing them into the laundry when I've finished. Pretty wants a kitten so badly but we can't have one. I'm allergic to furbabies.

I liked the flexibility of the duster, but want to use scrap yarn to make a washable cover for it.

Cats are so funny to watch, especially when they're battling a knotted sock or something else they attack! A large brown paper bag, needs to watch out for kittens!

Yes, Bitty likes all of those things. I have a couple of socks I filled with catnip for the big kitties. Most of the catnip is gone but the socks still smell good and Bitty with beat it without mercy.

@GardenGerty Our kittens always enjoyed a cardboard box. We'd cut windows and doors, so a kitten could play from inside, with another kitten on the outside. They'd do this for hours!

That would have been so cute to watch. (And you probably got the Swiffer duster as a freebie at Costco... I know I did.)

No, never have been to Costco, got mine at Dollar General for some reason. I think so that I could get motivated to design a crocheted washable cover for them, but I have not done so yet.

Yes, they are. She plays hard, but she also likes to sit with Bob and watch television or sleep on our bed.
