Just placed a Penzey's order

That ought to make @porwest 's day. They've been running lots of sales but I've largely been ignoring them because my spice cabinet is literally overflowing. I have to play like a combination of Jenga and Tetris to try to find something that I want to use. That being said I noticed that I am almost out of vanilla yet again. I've been doing a lot of baking lately so I'm using a lot of vanilla. Vanilla wasn't an issue when I went to Mexico each year because I'd buy a big bottle for like $15 and it would last me for well over a year. Now I'm spending like $10 per tiny bottle and it lasts for like 2 or 3 recipes. So I went to the Penzey's web site and ordered myself a 4 ounce bottle of their Mexican vanilla. That will last me hopefully a couple of months. I also ordered a 1 cup jar of their salt-free Mural of Flavor seasoning. I've been using it a lot lately in meatloaf, in vegetable stock, in scrambled eggs, etc. I don't need a salt-free seasoning specifically but this one is great and I just add some kosher salt as I go. I was actually relieved to see that they don't take PayPal as a payment option. That makes it so much easier to buy stuff. I had to manually enter all of my billing and shipping information so that is something that slowed me down. It will hold me back from constantly running to the Penzey's site for spices and seasonings.
