We the people of Odisha, India are facing a deluge due to constant rain and floods. Half of the state is under serious flood conditions with people getting marooned, animals being swept away by flood waters. The rivers are in spate crossing danger level. Though I am constantly praying for the heavy rains to stop and the water to receed, I need my mylot friends prayers and good wishes to save us from this disaster.

@aninditasen in the fall you probably have some hurricanes too. We just had one that left a lot of trees uprooted in the area.

Thank you. Hirakud Dam was constructed in the 50s and therefore it was built according to the weather condition. We need more barrage and dams in Odisha to prevent flash floods. Anyway things are moving towards the better today.
