Is it covid? Is it bronchitis? Just what is it?

We had a staff member out Friday due to covid. No one said exactly who, but we kind of guessed.
I started running a fever Friday evening, or at least that is when I checked it. I had a scratchy throat Thursday evening.
Today, Sunday, I decided I had better get tested, so I called Urgent Care. They did a swab test for a full panel of ailments. I should know soon. Meanwhile to help symptoms they have called out some prescriptions. We will go get them before the pharmacy closes.
This is not one of those quick tests that is done in just a few minutes. I think it still will be a half hour more. The person who examined me seemed to think it was more likely bronchitis. I could deal with that.
My life is too busy to have covid.

It was covid, but very mild symptoms, other than the fatigue.

I only ran a fever for three days, so that was not bad. Just a lot of fatigue.

I have been back to work for a week, and it has been exhausting, but I am getting better.

Whatever it is I hope it's mild and very temporary and doesn't turn out to be something much worse. Hugs

I am surprised at how mild this has been. I am awfully tired, though.

@GardenGerty This new strain seems to cause lingering tiredness. Rest when you can hon.

One of my daughters recently had bronchitis. Two of my friends are down with a respiratory bug of some kind, but both tested several times and went to the doctor, it's not Covid. I hope you feel better really soon.

I have never been told I had bronchitis. Last year I was really sick, and it was a rhinovirus--a type of common cold. I actually felt sicker then.

My daughter had a really, really terrible cough. It just tore through her and was so painful. I felt bad for her.

It was covid. A week later and I am still tired, but it will be okay.

@GardenGerty I hope you and your husband are much better . . . yah, the tired part seems to last a while. It seems that for most people it's mild now - thank goodness. So many people who were able to avoid it all this time seem to have gotten it recently.

It could be anything, other illnesses don't vanish because a new one comes along. Get well soon.

It is covid. I was thinking I had some good natural immunities. I was sick at this time last year but it was not covid. It took three years to catch it. That was pretty good.

I did test positive for covid. Because I have had two shots and a booster I mostly am just very tired. Have a cough. I am going back to work tomorrow.

If you've had your regular vaccines, the COVID would be mild and lasts about five days. Without the vaccines, I don't know for sure.

I hope it's not COVID-19. There are too many long-term effects that can happen with that virus. Get well soon.

I hope that it is neither one of what they suggested, both leave your lungs in a terrible state.
Covid has made most of us much more aware of how we feel and the consequences it can have on others if we do not stay home.
If you are not feeling well tomorrow, I hope that you are able to stay home until this passes.
