My daughter just called and they let her do her surrender early. So I called Uber and she is now on her way home.
The three kittens have been surrendered and Whiskers is healing from her spaying experience of yesterday. It is all done now. Thank the Gods!
It is pretty sad but, I am very glad to have all this behind us now.

@celticeagle You are doing the right thing. My elderly cat is having eating issues. I take him to the Vet next month. Everything is so spendy now. I hope I don't have to make a painful decision.

Yes, it is. We sure can't. I wish I had an old rambling house with a barn. I would keep more cats as mousers and pets. But living in an apartment I just can't.
