He was pretty pleased actually. Wasn't as impressed over my weight since I gained about 10 pounds.
However he was impressed with my blood sugars. My a1c went down to 6.5. Was at 6.9 three months ago. I thought it'd be a little higher.
He told me to stop the insulin because of the lows I'm having at night. We'll see how that goes. May need to try something else if my sugars rise more again.
I'll do low carb as much as I can....but I am going to have carb days occasionally still. Just need to work on only having 1 at a time.

And that is with having carbs all summer. I think it is from all the lows in the night...kind of evened things out. He doesn't really want me to get lower than 6.5 but that is still diabetic.

@RubyHawk But I don't want to be in diabetic ranges. I know I always will be one because if I go back to carbs my sugar will still go up. But I want the average to be in the 5s

Well I started the year with sugars in the 400s sometimes...now my average has been 125. Much better

Moderation is a good rule. Hope you are able to do better.

Well I felt bad when my weight was up so much.
But glad my sugars were better
Almost half of what they were in January.

Glad to hear you got a good check up. I guess if you keep monitoring yourself things should be all right,

Doesn't mean it always will. But worked for now, I guess

I was glad too. But feel bad about the weight. I am sure it is from the insulin. It stores fat.

It's good to have an endocrinologist for our blood sugars. They are happy when they see our blood tests are normal.
Being a diabetic is a very sensitive situation. These doctors help us know the better medicines for us and whic food to eat and avoid.
