We were getting hammered. We came back and won tonight and a great comeback. I turned yesterdays game off though, we were getting hammered so bad so I did not see this. How scary. They need to check his Skull for fractures or something and Massive concussion is one way to put it. I had this happen to me in Soft ball in high school PE but hit my nose. I did not fall down either but could hear my nose break instantly and then feel a river of blood pour out. I teared up and and a jerk student make a joke but it was cool, I knew the dude so cracked jokes back as walking to Principles office where they sent in the nurse. She like honey, I hate to tell you this but your nose is broke. I am like you think. Good thing a nose cannot think but it may nose something. Anyway, I hope this dude alright that could lead to a brain injury right there. I mean he literally has a dent in his forehead. Very scary indeed and how is he even standing after that?

It's indeed scary. Hope that all goes well. Injuries on field in sports is very common but these kind that lead to brain injury are scary.

I actually caught on because video cuts off. He is saying he likes the bump on his head because means that swelling is going somewhere. Meaning if brain swells with no where to go people can die and that bump will make sure he at least gets to the doctor to relieve the swelling. Head injuries no joke.

@crossbones27 Head injuries are no joke and one should never undermine even the slightest ones. I know of few cases in known circles which were so disheartening and didn't end well with minor head injuries cases.

@crossbones27 I am sorry about your friends brother. We had a similar case in our apartment. A 16 years old girl ( good friend of my elder daughter) was sitting on the side rail of the park and chatting with friends. While laughing out loud, she lost her balance and fell on the concrete behind. She was unconscious for three days and then opened her eyes for few minutes only to close it forever. It was so shocking. My daughter was there when she fell. Head injuries should never be ignored and one has to go to doctor soon to get all the tests done to be assured that everything is alright. Early interventions can help.

You had to under go any surgery for the nose ? I am still wondering how we can apply plaster cover for nose. I think if he has brought the other hand infront of this face that would be a great catch. It's normally human tendency to bring his fav hand infront. but I still feel I would have brought hand with gloves on. I have saved my head by a cricket ball by using wicket keeping gloves which I had on one palm only.

No I actually turned my head just in time, just moved my nose to the left a bit. Doctor just pushed it back with the longest stick shoved up it to make sure it was straight. Kids had fun with that story the next day. Which he also said you lucky you at least turned your head because your nose would have shattered into pieces if it hit you straight on. Also I get whet you are saying with the hands and reactions but its so quick and what is funny is with mine the ball actually blinded me. I was actually froze, like brain already knew you screwed but did not know how to react and then finally said bail out. It was crazy how it happened so fast and how I can remember it and how my brain actually can still slow the moment down.
