Catfish stew!

I had a steroid epidural injection in my back this morning and hoping this will help.
It has nothing to do with my gastric issues, but at least maybe I can walk better without hurting.
Tell you what bud, getting old is a pain. Literally.
But I got along fine with the injection (thank God it's not 30 like the Botox for migraines!) Although those were less painful everything considered because the doctor today had to try two or three times to get the needle to go into my back.
He said it was because of a lot of arthritis there.
Dale gets another injection in his back at that clinic this Friday.
The best part of this day will be the catfish stew that's simmering on the stove right now. When it gets done, I'll fry some cornbread.
Doc said to take it easy today and that's exactly what I'm doing!

I think they're pretty good at the pain clinic, but the arthritis in my back made it hard to even get the needle in.

I used to get back injections but don't anymore. I hope they help you and Dale. Getting old is definitely a pain. My husband has RA, so I keep my complaints to a minimum. Have a good day.

How's your husband doing? I know how it feels to not want to complain when I know others have it much worse than me. But Dale told me one time that "your pain is your pain, no matter what others are going through."

@1creekgirl He is still tired, a little bit dizzy and in a lot of pain. I'm sure he feels better just being at home though!

I don't think it's too much like a gumbo. It only has water, cubed white potatoes, onions, chopped boiled eggs, salt, pepper, and small chunks of fileted catfish without bones.

Catfish stew, I may have to try that sometime. Sounds good.
Glad that you got the injection. Hope it helps you. Also for Dale when he gets his.
My Nana always said getting old isn't for sissy's and as I am getting older I fully understand what she meant!!

Dale's always been the one to cook it, but I fixed it today and it was delicious. Of course he caught the fish and cleaned and filleted it.
