Rediscovered treasure!

In a few days we will all be going camping with a group, and Big One wanted to have her own smaller tent. We have a so-called ‘three-man’ tent (basically the right size for two people) which we used to use up until Big One was about 4, when we got a larger one we could actually stand up in.
So we agreed she could use this old tent and share it with a friend.
Yesterday my partner got the old tent out of the garage and Big One attempted to put it up in the garden to check it still worked. Part-way into this endeavour, she and Little One came running into the house shouting ‘Mum, Mum, come quick and see what we found in the tent!’
I half expected something like a dead mouse, but amazingly instead they produced this jewellery, which I had lost about 12 years ago! Somehow it had got packed up inside the tent the last time it was used, and had languished in the garage ever since.
I don’t have a lot of expensive jewellery, and I don’t tend to buy it often, so most of the pieces I have are souvenirs from some trip or, very occasionally, a gift. Each of these pieces represents a memory of some place in my past life, so I was very pleased to have them back!

Wow! I would call that a lost treasure found at most unexpected time. One of my favourite earrings is missing and I have searched for it several times around the house. I know that I must have kept it too safe to be found. I hope that one day it would just appear like yours.

@Fleura I have still not given up the hope
. Renovation work is going on in my home for next two months. So, there would be lot of cleaning, shifting, arranging and rearranging..I am sure that we too will find some of our lost and forgotten treasures
. I hope to find my earrings too.

Did you take jewelry with you when you went camping? Looks like the one ring matches the bracelet.

It's amazing where things turn up sometimes. We've looked at tents in camping stores and the diagrams show a 6-person tent as having enough room for 6 sleeping bag/swags but absolutely no room for anything else! To be fair, a lot of our camping grounds now have communal kitchens but I don't know where you'd store your clothes. Enjoy your trip away.
