Have you been travelling lately?

The month of August was a travelling month for me and my best friend. Both our husbands couldn’t cope up walking / travelling with us due to their knees and back problems. So, my friend and I ended up travelling alone inside Germany.
Through the 9€ train ticket for a whole month, we travelled a few times. Sadly, we started late and now the 9€ train travel ended last month, August, as it was only a special offer for a few months. I don’t remember when it started.
The most awesome travel we had was when we went to Koblenz for a sightseeing tour for just a day. We have walked for at least 10 km on that day. Koblenz is one of the oldest and beautiful cities in Germany. It is where the Rhine and the Mosel rivers meet. We have visited the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, Deutsches Eck(German Corner), the Altstadt (old city) and more. We walked from the central train station to the Deutsches Eck where the Rhine and the Mosel rivers meet each other. We hovered over the Rhine with a cable car to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress where we saw the awesome view of Koblenz. (Photo taken by me from the fortress.)
It was a fun Monday and a memorable day as it was my friends’ birthday. She celebrated her birthday with her family a day before we travelled. We were so tired but we enjoyed it and we learned a lot about the German culture.

I went to the Blue Ridge Parkway in July. That was my only excursion this summer, but I do have some trips scheduled for the fall.

The only travelling I do is every Sunday from my place to Cubao.

Yes, I have plans this month. I will watch the Filipino movie „ Maid in Malacanang“ in Utrecht, Netherlands. I was invited by my relatives and Filipino friends to watch the movie and I am looking forward to it. Is it shown in the Philippines? Thank you @jobelbojel

Man, you have been on the go. We did quite a bit of traveling, like we usually do during the summer months. Recently got back from St. George Island in the Florida panhandle for a week's fun down there. Not that long ago we went to Kansas City as well. Earlier in the summer we went to Iowa.

@thelme55 If I had more of an opportunity to get to warmer climates during the winter that would be something I definitely would want to do. But I am limited to trips about three or four hours away I can do quickly over a weekend, and that just keeps me in the colder climates during the winter. lol

I took a little trip to Dayton, Ohio (about 150 miles from where I live), then to Fort Wayne, Indiana (another 150 miles away) last weekend. Traveling is wonderful!!!

You are lucky you got someone to travel with you. I have a bum knee so I cannot get very far, I have been to Germany and taken a cruise on the Rhine, It is very beautiful, I hope you have a great September,
