Lost a close uncle who loved me a lot.

My uncle who loved me lot left for his heavenly abode on the 1st of September. He died all of a sudden. My brother informed me today. I paid a visit to them. My aunt is not only depressed but has also lost a lot of weight. She was a tall, fair and a well built lady.
I don't have any blood relation with them but I spend most of my childhood with my uncle and aunt than my parents. I was just a toddler of one when my uncle and aunt first took a fascination for me and used to take me to their home. I spent long hours with them, ate, drank and slept in their house.
My aunt has a painful life. She lost her eldest son in 2010 and now her husband. I have passed the same phase in 2020 that she is passing through now and so understand her loneliness though her children are with her.
May my uncle's soul rest in peace and God give my aunt the courage to bear this loss.

She has almost stopped talking. Time is the best healer. She will get over her grief gradually.

Yes, it will never be easy for my aunt to forget 60 years of married life together. And I was with them since I was a baby.

Thank you. I am trying to avoid going to meet them after becoming a window as I knew both my uncle and aunt would cry, but I didn't fate would pull me to their place in a painful way.

I am sorry for your loss. A person does not have to be a blood relative for them to be very special to us. Maybe you can spend some more time with her soon and it will help you both with grieving.
