I went to get the mail...

Then I came right back to the apartment. 
It's 104° F out there, and I had no desire to stay out there longer than I had to.
I did get some good mail, though--a check from my brother from the renters at our house (which means I'll have to go out tomorrow to the bank, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do), one is a gift card from the lady I was working with to help me get a job (she told me in an email that now the "process" was over, she could send me a $50 gift card. I wasn't aware that would happen). The other envelope, I believe, is something from a trading group online.

As often happens when I'm writing a post, I get sidetracked. I saw one of my pill bottles on the desk an realized I needed to call for a refill, and then I looked at my other two medication bottles and thought they were low enough to call them in, too...
Still nothing from the HR people--and I checked my voice mail to be sure they didn't call while I was ordering my meds, but there were no messages. I'm sure they're busy people. If they don't call today, they'll call tomorrow.
In the meantime, I'll open my mail.
