Outing and Lunch With My Neighbor

Had some things to pick up at WalMart. My least favorite store to shop. But some things cannot be bought online. My neighbor was out in her yard earlier. She invited me out to lunch with her. Told her about my WalMart trip and she said she can always find something to get there. So off we went in her car. Got the things on my list. And she found a few things as well. Stopped at a favorite restaurant on the way home for a sandwich and dessert. The special was caramel pie. Oh my gosh was it delicious. We both enjoyed the same. And were talking about finding a recipe to try our own soon. It wasn't until after I got home that I realized just how much you have to look up and down and all around at WalMart. My neck is paying for it now. Hoping I didn't overdo it. Hope your day has been a good one. Nice weather here too with a slight breeze all day. Photo is mine. Caramel pie.

I am not able for Walmart at all not any stores right now Carol. Yes I hope you did not hurt your neck. Glad you got out and had a lovely time. Pie looks nice but too sweet for me I am sure. Nice of your neighbor to drive you.

What a lovely treat, a trip out with your neighbour and the pie. I will do just about anything not to go to Walmart also.

This caramel pie looks so good, I would love to have it now, it's only 10:30 in the morning, but I am hungry. I visited a WalMart once and I did not like that store.

@CarolDM We have the Lidl store that is a bit like WalMart, I only go there early in the morning when there are not many customers for a few things.

So glad you had a very nice day & lunch! I did too. Walgreens, Mounds on sale $1 each of Vienna sausage, Captain Crunch Berries and supplements. Sprinkles a little as I got ready, but cleared up to a beautiful day!

Were you at O'Charleys by any chance? They have caramel pie. Hope your neck is good. Not really a fan of Walmart either, but I do go on occassion.

That pie looks delicious! Now, I want a slice of it!

We just got home from Walmart. Pretty wanted to pick up a couple of the individual pot pies... We ended up with $40 worth of stuff from there. (The two pot pies and a sandwich were the only food we bought.

That pie was delicious. Very sweet but so good. That is always how it is when you go to WalMart. I really like pot pies.

Oh no gosh I wouldn’t even think about it how much you look up and down there while shopping. The things we take for granted being able to do that you don’t think about until things like this. The pie looks yummy!
