I'm regretting it

Last week I posted that I had my ingrown toenail removed, but now I'm regretting it.
It's because the surgical removal was not painful, except for the anesthesia needle, but now I'm suffering from pain in my big toe. I was so adamant in having it removed,
Now, that the anesthesia has eased, it is so painful because I had to dry even the insides of the toenail and it's so painful.
How I wish I just allowed my pedicurist to trim it instead.
So, if you have an ingrown toenail, prefer having it trimmed than removing the entire nail because the recovery is painful, I almost fainted due to the pain.
Do you have similar experiences in which you have regretted your decision?

I can only say that if the ingrown toenail was bad enough to require surgery, it must have been quite severe and perhaps a pedicurist would not have been able to remedy it.
Aside from the pain now, eventually it will be past you and you will be pain free and have no ingrown toenail to deal with either.

I also had that since the pedicurist could not stop my ingrown nail from coming back. I have to let it be surgically removed. I guess I had pain meds to relieve the pain for about a couple of weeks but the sensitivity of that toe lasted as long as the nail had grown to cover it. Now my nails had recovered and are back to normal and I see to it that I have it pedicured from time to time so they may not be ingrown again.

@Jenaisle It takes time; the sensitivity persisted for over a year after my wound had entirely healed. I no longer self-pedicure because I risk cutting my nails incorrectly and having to start again. In order to keep my nails from becoming stiff and itchy, I ask my wife to schedule an appointment with a pedicurist. This typically works out well because my pedicurist is already familiar with how to take care of my nails.

I regret the decision of going out of the front door when I was robbed. I should have spoken to the thieves from the window and send them off.

I dont like to pedicure my nails because i want to do it on my own . Now i know that if you have ingrown maybe it will undergo surgery and i think it costs much more of money . I think this so funny
. I hope that you can get well soon and your nails come back to life
