While I would never have joined T-Mobile on my own, they bought out my old carrier, so I’m a customer. I don’t mind that anymore. In fact, it’s kind of cool because they have this thing called “T-Mobile Tuesdays.” Every Tuesday they send an offer through their app. A lot of them are not applicable to me (free coffee at Dunkin’ Donuts or a Whopper at Burger King), but others are great. As the “official cell phone company of Major League Baseball,” they give a free subscription to MLB’s website, which allows for watching or listening to any baseball game throughout the year. Normally that subscription is $120, so that in itself almost pays for my cell phone service! Today the offer was a free headlamp. These things can be $15 or more for a basic one. It’ll be nice for the car, because those black-out shades for the windows do their job: they darken the car! After I picked it up at a store I went for a walk around the shopping center. There was a Target in the center, so I took a walk around it. That’s where I found the item in the picture. Effen Vodka? Who comes up with these names??? Did they think that name through? “Would you like some of this Effen Vodka?” It’s kind of like the name of the city in Illinois. You have to be glad whoever named Effingham wasn’t mad at prime rib! I’m thinking about a trip after my dental cleaning next week. You never know, of course. Who likes to plan these things? Certainly not me! Last year I went to St. Louis just to get out of town for a day or two, and ended up in Montana! There’s a new countdown coming, and if you don’t like it blame JJ, because he suggested it!
