Son of Dexter?

I was going to subscribe, at some point, to Showtime so I could catch up on the new Dexter series. As you may recall Dexter was a series that ran from 2006 until 2013 with Michael C. Hall as [/b]Dexter[b]. I was a big fan of the character. He was a forensic technician specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami Metro Police Department. He also led a parallel life as a serial killer. Killing those who really needed it. Now they have come out in 2021 with [/b]Dexter: New Blood[b] but they killed him off in the 1st season by the hand of his own son no less. Are they going to bring him back to life somehow or, is his son going to go on killing in his place? Not really into Son of spinoffs so I will wait and see.
