A Patch of Blue

The blue patch in the sky took me to a movie I had watched a long time ago "A Patch of Blue" My favourite actor Sidney Poitier as an educated black man and Elizabeth Hartmandid who played the role of the blind 18 year old white - an emotional love affair that did not fructify.
This was at a time there was a racial divide in America. There were so many awards for this film - best this and best that.
Are you familiar with this movie?

No I have never heard of that. Yes the racial divide lasted a long time. Funny that some Americans are so quick to vilify the Queen as the leader of a 'racist empire' when systematic racism was a feature of their own government for so much longer!

You can still watch that movie. You will like every bit of it I am sure. About the Queen I have not heard nor read anything on that.
