Finally found out that I am a HSP

HSP stands for Highly Sensitive Person.
Finally I found out about myself. All these years I have been wondering why I feel sad almost all the time. I could not find any solid reason behind it. In the last 4 years, I have cried over trivial things-sudden alienation from a group of friends, terminating ties with some fake friends, breakup, domestic tension involving family members, people ignoring me and the list is endless. I thought it was weird and uncanny so refrained from telling everyone about it.
Now I know that it's because I am a HSP-Highly sensitive Person.
HSPs are highly creative. Yes sometimes, I care too much about people, I care about people ignoring me but that's doesn't make me weak.
I personally know 2 people who are happen to be my constant friends too(one of them is a school friend and the other a college friend). And I believe there are many. So, it's a shout-out to all of them. Read this post. Learn how to channelise your emotions into any creative domain.
Do you think you are a HSP? If you are not, what's your advice to someone who is a HSP?

I am a very highly sensitive person myself even though I am also looking for answers if it is a good or bad thing to have.

You have to chnnelize those emotions into productive things like painting, writing, dancing, singing or whatever you like

I am not though I am a sensitive one. I guess that the H has dropped in my case with the age and experience. My daughter was going through this HSP phase but with lots of support from our side, she is over it. And she has acknowledged it and is constantly working on it

@Dreamerby Nothing that comes naturally is bad. We all have different capacities and limitations. As long as we know how to control it or make use of it, it's good. Life is all about regulation and being in charge of self. If you know yourself well, you accept yourself and you work on it.

Good that she had that support. Btw I don't think HSP is a bad thing. It's just that you have to learn to channelize those emotions into creative pursuits...

I don't think I am a HSP. I'm wondering how do you find out you are a HSP? Do you have a counsellor?
