Another Sunday at Church.

I went to Church again today. My Mum had washed my red dress and I had hung it on the back of the door on a hook on a coathanger and hadn't put it away in a wardrobe so I wore that dress today so I didn't have to move all my stuff to get into a wardrobe. My weather app said 40% chance of rain so I wore my mac to go in just incase, but I didn't fasten it up. I said I'd only fasten it up if it did happen to rain. (It didn't.) I walked to Church again and the lady at the desk had my mug ready for me. I noticed that they had some T-bags in a glass topped wooden box and one of them was exactly the same as I'd brought with me. I said I needn't have brought my T-bag with me. I could of had one of those! When my tea had brewed I went and sat on a seat and drank it. Then I took the mug back to the desk. My Mum arrived about 3 minutes before the service started. We sang some songs then we had a moment of prayer. We were told to get into groups and pray about one of several issues that are affecting the nation. Then our Pastor Steve Speight spoke on Reset again. He got everyone to get their phones out and there was a QR code on the screen for them to scan. If the QR code didn't work they could go to the website and put in a 4 digit code which was 7788. Then there was a question for them to answer. The question was What do you think is the personality of Life Church? And then when people put in their answers they came up on the screen. Some people put faith, love, hope, friendship, quite a few people put community. There was Open, friendly, inclusive, etc. Then someone put snazzy and someone put zoomy! Then it got even stranger, and someone put cheesecake! Infact 2 people put cheesecake! (I think the second person just copied the first person.) I didn't do it because my phone doesn't have internet and my tablet wouldn't have Wi-Fi either outside of my house. Steve continued with his message and then later he wanted people to get their phones out again. This time he had T.T.T on the screen, which stands for This Time Tomorrow. Except tomorrow just about everyone will be watching the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. So he did a clever trick and he said it now stands for This Time Tuesday! So everyone put in what they would be doing this time on Tuesday. And the answers came up on the screen again. Lots of people said they would be working. There were some that put working in the office. Someone said they would be prosecuting! Someone said Watching countdown (because I'm retired) Someone said eating cake. Then someone said on my third cup of coffee (because I'm retired). Then Steve created 5 prayer stations around the room. There was one for finance, one for teaching, one for care, one for retired and one for other. So everyone who was in Finance would go to the finance corner, anyone who was in teaching to the teaching corner, or care or retired. And if you didn't fit into any of those categories you'd go to the middle in the front for "other"! Then the person there would pray for you and your coming week. Me and my Mum didn't go anywhere, we just stayed sitting in our seats. I said there'd be a crowd around "other" and there was, but there was actually more of a crowd around "retired"! We sang a few more songs afterwards including "Raise a Hallelujah" which is one of my favourites. A card was given out to everyone after the service and this is what it says on it:- RESET Let me tell you why you are here - to bring out the God-colours and God-flavours of this earth...Jesus (Matthew 5) 6M • MODELLING GODLY CHARACTER Allowing the fruit of the Spirit to be evident every day. • MAKING GOOD WORK Work is worship so we do everything for Christ. • MINISTERING GRACE AND LOVE Going the extra mile is very clearly the message of Christ. • MOULDING CULTURE Trying to live as we believe life should be despite the challenges around. • MOUTHPIECE FOR TRUTH AND JUDTICE The opportunity to combat lies or snuff out gossip introduces kingdom values. • MESSENGER OF THE GOSPEL We all have our own story of faith which will have opportunities to be told. My Mum and me went to the toilet together (not in the same cubicle!) Then I went home after collecting my card (see above.) When I got home I got changed and started my lunch. How has your day been so far? I won't be on the internet at all tomorrow in respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and I will be watching the funeral instead. What will you be doing tomorrow? Have a nice day.

I never did QR codes. So, I just sign up on welcome sheets with, "Me, Phone: 123456789" Did you have a refreshing day at your church?

I've never done QR codes either. I find them very confusing! What do you mean by refreshing day?
