Mind the Gap

I think we all have dreams of what we want our lives to be. Right? When we were young and rather silly. Then fast forward some decades and we see what our life really has actually become. Life as we know it. How different those two are. Aren't they?
The life we dream and the life as we live it.
Now mind the gap.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher in elementary grades. Just only dream or ambition for we were poor and it's only elementary and high school level the most I could finish for they're free.
But I was terribly wrong. I pursued my college education as a part-time working student but it's temporarily for I was a consistent top academic in the class. I was entitled for a free tuition fees. I wasn't able to earn the degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education for I enrolled in Commerce course following the advice of my elder brother. I graduated and worked at the local bank.
But yet I wanted to be a teacher. I went college during my off duty at the bank. I finally earned the degree of BEED and passed the Teacher's Board Exams. I resigned from the bank and worked as a teacher for 7 years for I was promoted as school principal. I am already school principal for 6 years now.

That is a great story of accomplishment. I'm glad you stayed with and sounds like you have a good aptitude for that type of work.

Some dreams come true and some don't. That's life.

There are a lot of things in between to take into consideration too how we got to where we are and how we look upon life.
