Will my pomegranate plant bear fruits?.

My parents were living on the top floor where they have planted this pomegranate plant in a pot. I never thought that it can be grown in a pot. Now when the parents have shifted to another house nearby they have left it for us. And it's our responsibility to look after the plants they have left. The plant is bearing flowers but still not fruits. They had planted it around 5-6 months back. I don't know if these flowers will get converted into fruits. I am still waiting to see if I may get pomegranates from this plant in a few months or so. Hope I may.

@DaddyEvil I will have to check it. Yes, I don't see the bees or the butterflies here. I will have ro ask someone or from the vendor from where the plant is bought, hope he gives some good information.

@sjvg1976 You're welcome. You might ask around to other people there who grow pomegranates in pots and see if they artificially pollinate their flowers. Pretty does that with out bell peppers and tomato plants. The bees just won't help us with that.

We also have one of this in a pot. Initially it started growing well. However, now its not growing as well. The problem is that we do not get that good sunshine in our new house except for one balcony. Plus I am a bit laidback when it comes to things like turning soil upside down or cutting extra leaves. May be you can use some fertilizer or manure and see if the plant grows well.

There is a reason roses and pomegranates are tough to grow in pots. You need to take lots of care....mission impossible for me. I stick to money plant, tulasi and maruam (sweet marjoram). They grow if you just give them water regularly. LOL

Just be patient and keep waiting. From what I remember of my mother's pomegranate, I think the fruits will form at the base of the flowers. Good luck with it.
