Don't worry it happened in 2018 after that year, the world faced pandemics. There were series of floods that followed, but I and my family were always safe for we work from home. The flood we traversed already subsided. Before it subsided it was above the thigh. We were the last to cross the flood. I helped the oldies.
I wore high end boots that time. My shoulder bag was placed on my chest inside my blouse afraid it would fall to the dirty water as what had happened to others. It's scary. I arrived home 10 in the evening. The flood water in the gate was so high that many rode on pump boats
Have you walked on flood? I bet.
Image shown here me and my co-teachers.

No, I have never experienced floods in my life. My parents say that there were chances of flood in 1978 in our city and people shifted on their roofs with food in fear that they will have to spend a few days there but it didn't. I was 2 years at that time.

@sjvg1976, you're fortunate. When I was 10 I bathed on flood but the flood was so clean crystal clear. I laid on the flood and let it travel to my young body . That was a fun for me but when I arrived home so wet my father got mad and punished me

@RebeccasFarm, yes intentional. It's risky to walk on flood. It's so dirty.

When I was young, the sewage system in Hong Kong was not that good. Whenever there was heavy rain, flooding occurred. I walked on flood a lot. Nowadays, the sewage system has improved a lot, and flooding is not that frequent except in rural areas.

@Beestring, the more flooding occurred in the city where I live because of the huge buildings water can't move through direct to the sea or river. Sometimes river overflows.

@cacay1 Here, we also have a lot of huge buildings, if the sewage system is good, the situation should be better.

Yes, I did for our place is always flooded when there's a day or so of heavy downpour due to poor drainage system.

It’s good you can work from home, that way the weather doesn’t affect your day as much.
