Once again, I have to be Vince's guinea pig

My husband, Vince, is a keen photographer and participates on a few Facebook photographic sites. The theme of one of this week’s challenges is ‘forced perspective’ and this is what he came up with.
I often have to be the guinea pig but that’s okay. While he keeps cooking most of our meals, I’m very happy.
There are a number of these silos on this farm, and on all the farms around. It is a big crop-growing area here and harvest will start shortly.

I thought it was more or less spring time over there, here it is autumn and harvests are going on all over the place where the corn, cotton and pecans are grown.
That's an interesting shot but I don't really get what forced perspective means.

We're in the middle of spring. It seems like we have different harvesting periods or maybe the different crops have different harvest times.
With forced perspective, there is no way that I actually under the auger. I guess in some way it's just trick photography like someone holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Ahhhh, ok, now I get it. I see a lot of those kinds of images online, many refer to them as being photoshopped.
When you think about it, if you take a picture of the same subject from different angles it can show different sides to the same thing making the old adage about a picture being worth a thousand words rather silly really.

That is a good shot, he has a really good imagination.
We call those bins here, and usually there are several together and a 'leg' that moves the grain from the bin to the shoot so that it can be loaded into the transport truck or in the case of a smaller farm, into wagons to be hauled off to market to sell.
My brothers grow corn that is hauled off to the ethanol plant to be made into fuel.
They have 2 legs as they have alot of large bins. They have driers on a some of the bins, and the downspouts can transfer grain from 1 bin to another to get the grain dried before shipping it.

How did you talk him into doing most of the cooking? I've always wanted someone to cook for me.

@JudyEv My cooking is, I'm convinced, what got me two wives... Neither one of them even bothered since I'd do it.
I would question your statement but you've got no reason to fib to me.

@DaddyEvil I have never been able to understand how he enjoys cooking. After a stressful day, he'd come home and look forward to cooking a meal. I still don't understand.

It is bigger than it appears. I was quite some distance from it and had to shuffle back and forth to get it just right. Here's a photo of one on its own but I guess it still doesn't show the scale. It dispenses its load into a truck so it's pretty big.

@oahuwriter I enjoy it occasionally. I like the regular flavour best.

They will fill them several times over. They take off a lot of grain on the acreages they have here.
