Unexpected Visitor

United States
September 30, 2022 6:16pm CST
This evening, I got a phone call, from the homeless girl I posted about. She asked if I was home, and asked for directions to my house. She made it her and her two daughters. We asked if they wanted anything to eat, she said no, didn't stay long. She was a person I knew, years ago, when I worked at a fast food restaurant, and she worked in a chicken procressing plant. How things can change.

Someone had paid for her a room. She had been sleeping on Walmart parking lot.

I was thinking how awful it is, but when you have 2 little kids, I almost cried when I saw the pillow in the car.

That's nice that she visited but it sounds like she has a tough life at the moment. I can't really imagine being homeless.
