It took the infectious disease doctor a while to respond to what our doctor wanted. Maybe more than that. Bob's admitting doctor contacted him while Bob was in the hospital. Then our primary doctor had us contact him. When we saw the primary again, he still had not responded. Evidently he got back to our primary--Doctor B. The nurse from the clinic said Dr. M--the infectious disease Dr. wanted Bob to have a total of 28 days of Rocephin. He just finished 14, the clinic talked to me because I answer the phone, Bob does not. I called Bob and told him what they wanted and that they wanted to do another PICC line. He was not happy. Evidently Bob talked to Dr. B, through her nurse. She said she did not feel he really had to have the extra two weeks but they would monitor how he is doing. So. . . no new PICC line, no more antibiotics. At least for now. Tuesday Dr. A the cardiologist, is performing his test. Bob is not really looking forward to it, but it will tell him more about this infection. So that is the latest in the saga of Bob.
