Still without power.

Still without power. Should have it back today, hopefully. I've secured a room for the next two days just in case. But, I will take what I can get. We've stayed in this hotel before. And, I'm thankful to have power and Wi-fi. I keep checking in at home to make sure we get power back. But, no crews on our street as of the time we left. So, guess we'll see. Chilly has a case of the sneezes that's fairly continuous. We think it has to do with all the changes we've endured. However, he's adapting to hotel life. He actually did his morning wedge and purring this morning.

I hope you are “back to normal” quickly. It breaks my heart to see the destruction on the west coast of Florida.

I've seen some of the photos. In fact, a few miles from me, people were being rescued by boat.

So far, not a chance. Right now, we're just trying to get through one day at a time. At least I have something to give Chilly for his sneezing.

I understand how difficult is to live with power at home. Hope things get normal for you soon.

If only inconvenienced, thankfully you are safe. My brother has a home in Fort Myers Beach and he left to go there yesterday, today my sister-in-law and her hubby flew down to the same city as they heard that there are alot of homeless and they need to check their property.

One thing about power outs is that they are ALWAYS rather annoying to me. I mean, you never realize how reliant you are on electricity until it's not there. Very irritating.

I know what you mean. There's always this hum that shows we're connected even if we aren't watching t.v. at the moment. It feels errie when I don't hear that hum.

@porwest I have been using macbooks for the past two years. In fact when this happened, I had just started using Mac. I am a cheepskate, so I got the sealed Macbook air. no computer fan noise.

@kaylachan Or the computer fan running, or the air conditioner, or you can't turn on the coffee pot...lol. Hmm.

We stopped at the vet (because they weren't answering the phone) and they told us what we could give them.

What happened? When we have a power outage, it usually takes to 6 to 8 hours.
