Self Help and Self Improvement

Yesterday I feel sick. I am very down and full of anxiety. I easily feel nervous and I have a shallow sleep. I was thinking of ways how I can distract my mind from thinking anxious thoughts and get rid of negative feelings. The first thing I think is to do arts and crafts or watch many YouTube videos but then I think it is not helpful. In the afternoon the idea that came into my mind is to busy my mind thinking of self-improvement and self-help. I said it should be the dominating thoughts in my mind how to improve myself each day and be a better person and avoid making myself a loser. I want to be successful and victorious. So today I do my best to feel good and be back to normal. I downloaded ebooks for self help. I downloaded app for self help. Now I have something to be busy now. I never seriously think of improving myself. Now is the time to change

I am always watching out to control my anxiety level. It helps me to continue with writing and posting online, to listen to music, to rest and read and to just feel positive about everything, YouTube videos about all sorts of things also help. This might help you too ttps://

Thank you. Yes it is important to feel positive and think positive. My anxiety level is high this past few days and it helps me to think to not let this make my life bad. I have my self improvement project now

The difficulty with self-improvement goals is motivation. Like our new year's resolutions which often never last. But if it helps in reducing your stress and anxiety, why not.

Yes I also think of that what if I get discourage or I lose motivation. But now I really want the idea to focus on self improvement as I never had that goal before

I believe that music might help you relax and divert your mind. I have Spotify, and they offer a huge selection of music. They also have these little podcasts on a variety of topics, including mental health. I subscribe to daily wellness, which offers a variety of music and podcasts to listen to. These podcasts are both entertaining and educational because they typically feature interviews with people who are dealing with mental health issues. After each talk, there will be music before another one is introduced. Although you can choose to ignore some issues if they are unrelated to you.

@averygirl72 You can try that one since its free you can enjoy all kinds of music plus some podcasts. I think it could help you out when you are in that situation. I use it too to relax my mind especially when I feel like there are many tasks to do.

I haven't tried Spotify, maybe I should check it out. I need a dominating thought that would guide my thoughts to positivity

Self help books can be great. I loved them when I was in my early adulthood years. I do think that crafts can be good for you I wouldn’t rule that out.

Thank you. It's only now that I realize I'm not studying or doing something to improve myself day after day. Now it is my project for myself and I feel happy
