In 1952 “Top Banana” closed at the Winter Garden Theater in NYC after 356 performances. In 1959 the 1st Cello concert by Dmitri Shostakovich premiered in Leningrad, Russia. In 1969 Creedance Clearwater Revival was at number one with “Green River.” In 1974 John Lennon came out with his album Walls & Bridges with the number one single “Whatever Gets You Through The Night” with Elton John.

Love that CCR tune. I've never heard of Top Banana before, then again I was only 2 or 3 at that time.
