The things you see!

It’s always interesting to look around when out and about, to see what names people give their houses as @xFiacre mentioned, how they plant their gardens, how they decorate their homes in terms of choices of colours etc., and sometimes what other things they have to make their place unique. As I wheeled my bike up a steep street today trying to cool off a little, I spotted this eye-catching chap. He looked very relaxed, apparently lounging on a surfboard as it’s about to take off from the roof. He seemed to be enjoying the autumn sunshine, dressed in nothing but a sweatband. Would you like him to stop for a rest in your garden? And by the way @allknowing the big leaves you can see over the fence at the right are fig leaves - they look quite different to the tree you showed us. Now that is a unique decoration to have. Sure, he would be welcome in my garden perhaps.

@CarolDM Kind of weird place for a statue.

@fleura Goodness, that’s odd. Maybe the occupant just likes enticing passers-by like yourself to take photos of their bedroom window.

You never know, some people are just downright strange.I prefer to think they just like an eye-catching statue.

There is a place in Bunbury that has a very attractive young lady statue. She is always wearing something but she does change her clothes regularly.

I'll have to go past in winter and see if they give him a coat!

Bit different from Gnomes! My garden is not big enough for him to be comfortable

I think a human-sized garden gnome would be really creepy!

A very interesting statue. I would surely take a photo too if I pass by that house.

What an interesting piece. I wish I had something like that here but those kinds of items tend to be expensive.

Certainly eye-catching! I wonder how heavy it is and whether it will withstand winter winds.

That is certainly a very unusual decoration, If I still had my big garden from Latvia sure I would like this there as a surprise to everyone,

I can't think were they got it from! Unless perhaps they actually made it.
