The audacity

A familiar username popped up in my snap inbox and asked how I had been since we had last spoken. Now thinking this person might have some concern I said "well I had 5 seperate infections" by seperate I mean they were staggered. Instead of showing a shred of concern this person said "thats what you get for being poly your boyfriend probably caught something from f*cking some nasty sl*t and gave it to you."
I found it sort of funny that instead of asking for context they really did just presume that I meant sexual infections... I had tonsilitis (bacterial) that spread to my nose, chest, eye and ear. But yes please do presume that my partner and I are rife with sexual diseases it just shows your ignorance knows no bounds.

I think it's hard for some people not to be judgmental. I'm sorry that happened.

@Fa_Maverick I understand. Some people can't seem to resist moralizing when they have no leg to stand on themselves.

You sure do have some interesting friends who all seem to have something against you being poly.

@Fa_Maverick Unfortunately, I don't think therapy is going to "cure" them of their biases. It's probably the best that they are former friends. You don't need that negativity in your life.

@moffittjc might help them with their relationship so they arent miserable enough to attack me for being happy.

Well former friends now. If they dont like that I can have multiple relationships in which I actually like my partners and they respect me well that is their problem and they shouod really go to therapy :D
