I know I did it last year

I know I lit our wall furnaces last year, but I am hesitating this year. Just old fear and dependency talking.
It is getting to be cold in our house.
We had talked about just using space heaters, but I think electric costs more than gas.
Somewhere along the line we are supposed to have new installed, based on a state grant. I have been on the list almost three years now.
I will probably start the pilot lights tonight, when I have time to mess with things.
Definitely need a warm house when Bob finally gets to come home.
We have a heated mattress pad on our bed and that makes it very cozy. Makes me reluctant to get up.
I thought summer was going to last forever.

I got my permanent crown. Will not do any more dentist stuff until next year when insurance renews.

I hesitate as long as I can before turning the heat on here. Last year I think I had it on already. Not so this time around.
My new comforter makes me want to stay under it all day. Too bad summer can't last forever. Just get a little cooler.

I am feeling lost with trying to do this. We are going to have another warm spell, so maybe I can put it off some more. We have to have some heat of some kind when Bob finally gets to come home.

I do okay without, but am kind of sore with the weather change. Bob will have to have heat when he finally comes home.

It's hard to be cold in your own house. I keep the rooms shut off that I don't use much. It helps some.

How many wall furnaces do you have?
I've been turning on my furnace first thing in the morning for a bit to get the temp up above 60°F (it doesn't do C) and then leave it off for the rest of the day. I'll keep doing that as long as it doesn't get too cold outside. Currently 5°C/41°F, supposed to get warm again by Friday.

I hope you will light the furnace safely Heather.
Here i have baseboard heat and it is electric, but I am grateful to have heat at all.
I will use the space heaters however due to the way things are situated here. Ugh long story.
Yes you will need warmth soon for Bob coming home and I am glad you have the heated pad..cozy

I had to put the heat on last night as it was really really cold.
Hope you can get your furnace lit and the house toasty warm. Wonder if this is a sign we're going to have an early winter

Our electric bill was a slap in the face this month. We have gas heat and have had it on for quite some time now. Hubs gets cold really easily. He also runs a space heater in "his room". The weather has been crazy this year.
