In a little bit, George plans to take me to Best Buy so that I can get some smart plugs. I saw them when looking for Wi-Fi extenders a while ago. We got talking, and we thought a couple smart plugs wouldn't hurt. We can use them to control a couple lights in our home, so our cat won't be lonely. And, we can give the illusion we're home. I will likely post again before I pack up the laptop.

For the most part, yes. In a nutshell, that's what it is. It's like a second wi-fi radio that you can use to extend your range.

@Nakitakona Well, kind of but not exactly. It picks up the signal and acts as a bridge to extend the range. I suppose radios do similar.
