After several weeks, we're finally getting some decent rain. It's part of a cold front that's moved through the area. It's not even really going to put a dent in our temps, but the rain is both a blessing and curse given we're still recovering from Ian. Power has been essentially restored, (according to FPL), but we heard a huge bang. Still have power here, but... yeah. Not holding my breath. Still waiting to hear word from FPL, on our solar stuff, and now George wants me to check daily. He's more anxious about it then I am.

It was trying to rain when I was out for my walk, but only squeezed out a few drops.

@snowy22315 Yeah. Tomorrow on is supposed to be dry. This is part of a not-so-cold front.

Those hurricanes can really be a challenge. I imagine there are some where you have to evacuate?

Yes. I've lived in a lot of low-lying areas. Quite often we'd hunker down, leaving only when we've been without power for a while. When I was young, we evcuated for one hurricane. Good thing we did, too. Our house almost flooded.

That's not a good reason for rain.

Rain is good but not when it creates flooding or other issues.
