28 October - What I'm Thankful for Today

I don't remember the last time I was as busy as I was today and accomplished more than I expected. I'm thankful for waking early so I could achieve what I did today. I'm thankful for my daughter. I'm proud of her. She's a wonderful young lady. Today is her birthday. I texted her at 3 this morning to wish her a Happy Birthday and a good trip to New Orleans with her friends. I'm thankful for the work I did on New Horizons this morning. I got two chapters read, edited, and divided. There were two chapters instead of one on the chapter I worked on. I'm almost finished with this read-through which is good as I hope to work on New Horizons: Dominion in November for NaNoWriMo. I'm thankful for getting my Bible Study done, playing my games, taking a power nap, showering, and eating breakfast all before I went to the exercise class at 8:30. I'm thankful for getting out the door as planned, voting, then going across the street to Social Services to check on my status for Energy Assistance before going to Walgreens and the gas station. I'm thankful for the birthday card I found at Walgreens and a planner that can be used as an address book. A friend in exercise class said she couldn't find one anywhere. When I showed her my find, she insisted on paying me for it. I'm so thankful I could make her happy. I'm thankful I got the trash down this afternoon. One less chore I need to worry about. I'm thankful for all my friends here. I completed the notifications this morning, visited with many of you, and enjoyed your company for a short while. I'm thankful I could relax and watch television when I got everything done. I think I'll relax tomorrow. I'm thankful that even though I returned at the end of the month, I will still make the payout by Monday. I'm thankful I could figure out how to make changes in the apartment this morning. I'll be moving furniture around again soon. I'm getting a new SMART TV that will work better with Roku and Alexa than the unsmart TV I have now. I took all the measurements, and it will work.
