I usually don't post a lot of about celebrity deaths, and it seems like we have had a ton of them this year. But this one, hit a little closer to home than the others. I grew up mainly being raised by my grandparents. My grandpa was very old school, very rough around the edges and was born in 1940 so I grew up listening to a lot of his music. He loved Jerry Lee Lewis. And I remember listening to Great Balls of Fire and other songs on cassette tape in the ugly forest green International pick up truck he had, He was who I first saw the movie with the same name starring Dennis Quaid with. While other kids my age were jamming out to Sisqo and Nelly, I was listening to Jerry Lee Lewis. I loved Jerry Lee LEwis. So when I heard about his passing yesterday I was stunned. I don't know why, I didn't even know for sure he was still alive, until he passed. But still, he was such a part of my childhood that I was just so sad when I heard. I know @fourwalls will have more to say about this great musical man's death when she recaps the month, but I just had to say a few words about him. And share of course my favorite song by him.
