Lula Da Silva won in Brazil´s election. And there are champagne bottles being uncorked at the streets and there are firecrackers being lit everywhere. Still neither the winner nor the loser have said anything yet. This has been a difficult day for me, friends. I called Claudia in the morning and she told me that Vicente´s best friend had attempted suicide. I called her this evening and it seems that he jumped from a window. He has several bones broken

Suicide is such a horrid thing to do for everyone near you! One of my cousins commited suicide many years ago. My father had to take me to a shrink. I was so stressed that I couldn´t move on alone. I hope Vicente´s friend gets well and I hope Vicente is not too damaged by this.

I called Claudia and he seems to be as fine as it can be expected. But Claudia is thinking about sending him to a psychologist.

That is so sad. People get so depressed and feel so low they just cant Fathom how much those around them would suffer.

Yes. I am terribly afraid of the ultraconservatives even though I don´t like much the far left either. But the far right are more fanatics from what I have seen.

Today I called Claudia and asked about Vicente. She told me that he was going this evening to a Halloween gettogether with friends. I think that that is better than a shrink.
