My Nanny is back home....

In my last post I spoke about how my Nanny hasn't been very well due to having Covid. And that she fainted, hitting her head on her kitchen tiles which caused a small pool of blood on the floor. My dad had been calling her every day at the hospital to check in on her and she eventually was sounding much better. She was just more anxious to get back home more than anything. When he rang her this morning, she told him she wasn't sure when she was allowed to go home. But my dad got a call in the afternoon from a nurse telling him that she can be picked up. I was happy to know she could go home as it's what she wanted but part of me wished she could be looked after for a few more days while she's still sick. From what I understand, her Covid test came back negative but she's still feeling sick and should be isolated for about another 5 days. I'm planning on going shopping early in the morning tomorrow to pick up items to make either Butter Chicken or Thai Green Chicken Curry that she can have for lunch or dinner. I will make it at home, call her then drop it off. She doesn't know it yet. I will surprise her. My dad and I picked her up from the hospital to take her home. We spoke to her for just a little bit to make sure she was alright and asked if she needed anything. We couldn't stay long as she should be isolated. My dad and I will also take her some flowers too. I'm just glad that she looked good considering. Was such a scare the day she fainted!

@VivaLaDani13 She seems stubborn. I have seen my very old neighbor doing the same as soon as her son goes away.

@LadyDuck Thank you Anna. She's much happier there for sure. Though, dad and I had to roll our eyes because the very next day she decided to go out the front to water the plants and sweep the leaves when she should just be resting. Fresh air is good but I wish she'd just relax properly.

@LadyDuck ugh! I accept stubborn people for who they are but boy that annoys me sometimes. Especially when it's someone who should just sit and rest!

Glad that she is negative for Covid now. Covid makes the body really weak. It would be good if she takes some more days of rest. That's thoughtful to take some food and flowers for her. I am sure that she would appreciate it.

@Nakitakona I'm grateful for the doctors and nurses who treated her. The paramedics were very good with her too from what my Dad told me. Have to admire and respect people like them.

So glad she is coming back home. I think she will be very happy to be back with loved ones. And what else can be a good surprise than a good plateful of warm and favourite food of hers? I would always love someone surprise me with my favourite food.

@Archie0 Sadly she lives on her own now. My Poppy (her husband) lives in an Aged Care place now as he suffers with dementia. She was very happy with what my dad and I gave her. And that makes me very happy. I'm glad she's back home where she's comfortable.

She will be able to rest and regain her strength much better at home in her own bed. I hope that the time passes quietly for her and when her isolation time is over you can visit her.
