I watched The Stepford Wives (1975). I didn't know there was a older version until @TheHorse said about it in a comment. I watched it on Tubi. It has Katharine Ross, Peter Masterson, Tina Louise, Nanette Newman, and Paula Prentiss in it. Big Warning: there is a little bit of violence. In this movie, Joanna and Walter move to a new little town called Stepford. Joanna is a photographer and Walter is a lawyer. The town has an all male group. In order to be part of the group, you have to sacrifice your wife. Joanna and another woman named Bobbie are the only two real women in town. They later discover that the other women are robots. Joanna tries to run, but in the end her robot takes her over. I liked this movie. Next week I'm watching The Stepford Husbands. It was one of the sequels. It was made in 1996.

I saw this in the drive-in theater with my parents when I was about 7 . Not a kids movie for sure - I freaked out. I never watched the remake of it - I didn't realize there was a Husbands one too!

I think I watched the remake but I can’t remember for sure. I love sequels. I hope you like the Stepford Husbands.

Is the ending tragic? I don't want sad endings, but the plot is interesting, I love sci-fi and space or robot stories. I hope I can watch it too.

@JESSY3236 That's great. I don't get to watch these movies. I hope there's a free online streaming for them in our area.

@Jenaisle yes. Her robot double supposedly kills her. But they made a sequel of Revenge of the Stepford Wives. The Stepford Husbands didn't have a sad ending.

I have watched this movie many years ago. I have not seen the more recent version with Nicole Kidman.

That was one really scary movie at the time. At least you don't see any blood or guts like these new fangled movies have.

I'll have to re-watch the original. I had forgotten the details!

Looks creepy. But I'll have a peek into it. I'd probably like it. :-) I think I watched the Nicole Kidman version of it (2004). I liked it!
