Oops, I’m tardy. Sorry I didn’t do much last night. I was tired from an amazing day. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you all about it!!!
Right now, it’s just a preview, answering the discussions I was too tired to work on last night (I really was beat when I got to my hotel), and giving you a song.
Enjoy that photo for a preview (taken at the Chattanooga National Battlefield). It should indicate that I more than made up for that “lost time” with the tire pressure monitor light going off the day before!!

I have to go home only because I’m running out of medicine.

@LindaOHio — well, Election Day is Tuesday, too. So I’ll vote and split again.

Sounds like you had some fun. I like the tree picture. I have the same outside my bedroom window.

@celticeagle x- hope you get the opportunity. It’s a completely different landscape than out west (I didn’t get to Idaho but I was in Wyoming and Montana), and it’s completely stunning.

As usual, the picture doesn’t do justice to everything. You can see in the background the hills around Chattanooga, and that was just as gorgeous.

As long as you're okay, that's what matters most. I hope you enjoy your day today, too.
It started raining here yesterday off and on. (The forecast claimed it was sunny here all day yesterday.
) At least the temp stayed in the upper 70s until around 11 pm. Then it started raining in earnest and the temp dropped to 64F this morning. It's still a steady drizzle outside.

In the Navy we called them “weather guessers,” and I think the same applies to the civilian world!

Usually in a National park here they won’t clean them.

What an awesome photo! Quite a few battlegrounds and civil war sites in Tenn. I'd like to visit them someday. Now that would make perfect sense to a history buff like me

Two of the worst battles took place in Tennessee: Shiloh and Stones River. I’ve been to both.

@dgobucks226 — they were all bad if you think about it. Chickamunga is near Chattanooga, and it was the first Civil War Battlefield to be preserved.

@FourWalls They say Chickamauga was a nasty one too.

Nice photo...Virginia is chockful of battefields. There is one located quite nearby here. It is fun to walk around there, and when I lived in Manassas, we had one even closer. I used to jog some of the trails there.

We went to a lot of the battlefields when I was a kid, including going to Appomattox. I want to go back, because (as I said when I went to the battlefields last year) it means a lot more to me as an adult knowing the history than it did as a kid.
