Brown Bread

Around Thanksgiving, my grandmother used to serve brown bread. It is made with wheat flour, whole grain rye flour, cornmeal, whey, molasses, and raisins. It is very rich and flavorful. We never had it any other time. But, I remember how tasty it was. After I grew up and was getting my own groceries I found it in the store and enjoyed it again. Sometimes it is hard to find but I have recently found it again. It is good with cream cheese on it or just warmed with butter. It is B & M Brown Bread. Have you had it before? Do you enjoy it?

I have never had it but it sounds good. Sounds like something I would enjoy making from scratch. You don’t happen to have your grandmothers recipe do you?

@celticeagle okay. That's what I mean. It's a rye not wheat.

I grew up having that bread frequently. Usually we made it in coffee cans! However B & M brand is delicious and it keeps a long, long time sealed in the can it comes in. I always keep some in my pantry, in the winters sometimes it is especially nice to have.
