What time do you usually sleep and Why?

I usually sleep at 2 am because it's only at night that I can be left undisturbed and do whatever I wanted to do. So during these times, I write, watch my favorite K-drama, listen to BTS, play games and watch YouTube - undisturbed. I wake up between 8 to 10 am, depending on the needs of my family as I help in taking care of the baby when my DIL is preparing the kids for school or cooking breakfast and then lunch. Afterward, I take a nap in the afternoon, and then take care once more of the baby or coach the older kids in their schoolwork, while DIl is cooking dinner. Sometimes I wash the dishes if they are just a few, otherwise, I let my grandkid do the chores for me. So right now, I'm here MyLotting hoping to engage more people to my discussions and learn about various practices in different countries. What about you? What time do you usually sleep? Why?

I'm up all night, every night. I have a great deal of trouble sleeping. I sometimes will fall asleep for an hour or so while MyLotting or watching TV.

@TheHorse I get up very early now, go to the bathroom and say hello to Luna. Then I close my eyes with the TV on for another couple of hours. I have nothing to do really.

@marguicha No "obligations." What would you like to do? I need "something" to look forward to. Else I get bored and start to suffer from what my friend calls "terminal ennui."

I used to do that, even if I was teaching at the College at 8 AM. But I am losing my late night mojo.

That is very late sleeping at 2am. Although I also have times having hard time sleeping and would also sleep at that time but I usually avoid sleeping that late since I have work the next day and that would make my day sluggish if I sleep that late.

@Jenaisle Good for you if you just stay at home since you have time to catch sleep when you have time to sleep.

I see, yes, you do have to sleep because of work. I can do this because I don't go to work the following day, so I can sleep anytime when I need to.

That's good. Having insomnia and working late nights can take its toll.

I usually sleep about 3 to 3 thirty am and weekends its all over the place. I am just a night owl and good thing about modern times if right job you can do work any time you want. Way it should be in these times if they want people to be productive. It does suck if you feel that is only time you can sleep because other disturbances. I wash a lot of dishes too and that is not by choice like my sleeping.

I can sleep during the day too, and I can tell them not to disturb me but they're kids after all, so I consider their unpredictability. I don't want to restrict their freedom as kids. I'm not complaining though.

It seems I have extremely described my predicament, but it's not really that serious. I apologize for how I expressed my discussion. Enjoy the rest of your week. Take care.

No matter what, it is usually 1 or 2 AM before I go to bed. Why, I can't answer. I have always been a night person.

@Jenaisle I've always been that way. Kind of hard to change. I think I personally enjoy the time when the phone won't ring and it's peaceful, no running around, just me.

My sleep patterns depend on work. If I work at 8 AM, I will go to bed around 10 PM and wake up at 6 AM. If I don't have to work in the morning, I go to bed a bit later and wake up with the sun.

That's great when you have flexible working hours. That's a freedom that everyone should enjoy. I'm glad you could adjust to any sleep patterns. It has become a habit for me now.

Yes, they are. We trust them, so we will be waiting for them even if takes forever. That's how strong our bonds are with them. We don't listen to anyone else especially the media, except what their company and themselves tell us.
