What a surprise I had!!

I saw something about an hour ago that I haven’t seen in decades…a man and a child playing hopscotch! The lady next door runs a licensed daycare, but rarely are any of the kids on the sidewalk. They have a large backyard and an enclosed trampoline, but mostly the kids stay inside. I was really surprised! It was the man I noticed first. I thought, there’s no way he’s playing hopscotch (I didn’t yet see the child.) Then I saw the child hopping in the same format as the man. I’m really happy to see an old tradition being continued. There’s nothing wrong with sidewalk games. They provide physical activity and fresh air. I’m happy knowing they’re passing it on.
