Our favorite field trip last month was to a local pumpkin patch. They had wagon rides, pumpkin picking, corn pit, corn maze, cow train ride, giant slide, barrel races, cafe and shopping, climbing hay bales, etc. It is a great way to spend time with the family, learn many lesson (life and academic), and enjoy God's creation. I would really love to have a pumpkin patch next year. I can't do a massive one, but maybe I will try for a mini patch next year.

I recently planted a pumpkin in my tiny backyard. It might have to go round and round but hopefully it will manage.

One of our local orchards not only has fruit and vegetables and a store, it has some of the things you describe as well. I always try to go several times in the fall, and pick a day that's sunny and the leaves are pretty. I have grown pumpkins in the past, they do take up a lot of room but they are fun to grow.

Yes, there is something so calming about going when the leaves are pretty.
