Two pigs with their own Facebook page

We have an acquaintance who has two pet pigs. These are big pigs although I notice she calls one ‘little’. They have their own face-book page which showcases their antics and has some great photos of the two of them. Their names are Brewis and Rumble. Brewis is mostly white and Rumble is black. Pigs get a bad rap as being dirty but, given the chance, they are quite clean animals. If possible, they allocate an area of their living space as a toilet. They do like getting coated in mud but there is a reason for this as it helps keep mites and other nasties to a minimum. I’ve ‘stolen’ a photo of Brewis from his FB page. If you want to see more of the adventures of Brewis and Rumble, just search FB for Brewis and Rumble Pig.

You are right, if kept in a clean space they are not dirty animals. I am going to see their page.

Sigh Anna.... how polite can you get...Judy is an Australian, not an American...she can take it on chin.

@vandana7 What do you mean Vanny? I cannot understand your comment. One of the brothers of my Mom had a pig farm, he had 25,000 pigs, kept in clean places, washed every day, I went to look at the piglets because they were so cute. His pigs were all clean, but they smelled bad despite being clean.

@vandana7 These are pretty ugly. I'll concede that fact.

I’ve read that they make great pets, too. I remember Arnold Ziffel from Green Acres, who was easily the smartest resident of Hooterville.

Stuffy toys ...green way to get them....I am not ok with stink pee poop nonsense. The dogs and cats learn those manners, I wonder if the pigs too. She says keeping mites away...that is putting it so pleasantly...pigs give tinea solium...that is why it was banned in the middle east in ancient times, and people were forced to worship them, lest they got those lousy diseases...and propagated it...LOL

aw, sweet pic! yepperz, pigs 're like most critters'n prefer not to live'n nasty 'nvironments. albeit a mud bath 'tis quite lovely. our equine friends 're prone to such's well 's humans who go to spas fer spendy mud treatments :)

There must be some benefits to a mud bath as so many animals like them. Not cats so much though! lol

@JudyEv True...you will endorse it... the packaging it will read...the mud is made from authentic pig's pee and poop.

I found it, they are adorable. I've read that most pigs get really big. I think hippos do the same thing pigs do for the same reason and perhaps elephants do as well but I'm not sure about them.

It depends on the breed but certainly some pigs are quite massive. And some sold as 'miniature' actually aren't and just keep on growing and growing.

Oh yeah, I remember those pot belly pigs that used to be all the rage because they were little and cute then one year the news stated that a 300 pound pet pig got into a empty pool and had to be rescued, it was a pot belly but it wasn't little or cute.

@rebelann And some 'normal' pigs were being sold as pot bellies too.

Don't! Or if you buy a miniature pig, make sure you see its parents. Many sold as miniatures turn out to be much bigger than they oughta be!

I remember the movie "Babe" I wonder where he is now after the movie. I think if given the chance to live freer than how we treat them in their cages they would be much cleaner and I think they could also be trained at some point too. Most of us would think of them as food sources and not as a pet.

If you go to 'search' then 'tagged discussions' and type in 'diving pigs' you can see pictures of pigs diving into water.
