Even with my going to the bank, I got there early, so I sat out by the man-made lake where I thought the entrance to the daycare was, watching the ducks and geese (mostly geese, and it seemed mostly Canadian geese) and took pictures or wrote in my journal and kept looking at the time on my camera.
When I finally decided to go to the door, it was locked, and I could see a guy sitting at a table but when I knocked he either didn't hear or ignored me.
I went around to the front of the community center, and went in the front door. I asked the guy at the front desk how to get to the preschool, and he said something like, "Oh, are you here for the interview?"
Me: "Yes."
Him: "Come over here and sit in the lobby and I'll go tell them you're here."
So I did. After about five minutes a young lady came out and introduced herself, and took me to a conference room. She and the director sat across from me, and asked me about nine questions like, "What would you do if a child...?" or "How would you..."
It was like the Coast Guard Daycare interview, only in person, and I think that the CG interview was a few questions longer.
Anyway, they said when they were done that they'd get back to me next week. I still haven't heard back from the Coast Guard people, but if I get hired to this job I am going to let them know.

The one closer to me. The coast guard daycare pays a few cents more, but it would be a huge hassle to get there.

@xstitcher Absolutely, the-closer one would be much more convenient. Hope you get it.
