What Kind of Pies?

For you for Thanksgiving Day in America?
If you are not having Thanksgiving elsewhere, what kind of pie do you like?
I have only one pie this year.
It is a pecan pie.
I can no longer deck the place out like I used to with every food and sweet you can imagine.
We used to have two long tables full of everything for Thanksgiving when I had my house many years ago.
It would be ridiculous to do that now, with no one here except for myself and my son.
We could never eat that much.
Also no turkey this year, it only goes to waste.
I will roast a chicken instead. Or pressure cook it.
So what kind of pies if any for you?

@RebeccasFarm I am almost back to my old self, thank you for asking.
I have a spot a little bigger than a quarter on my right lung which pains me, I think that it is still unclear.
But it will clear eventually, it hurts when I breath hard or breath in cold air.

I love making pecan pies, but the pecans on our trees are loaded and Dale has picked up a lot, but they need to dry out first. So I plan to make an Oreo Cheesecake for Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your son, too!

@RebeccasFarm This gluten free Oreo cheesecake takes a while, so I don't make it very often. But the guys love it, so I will for Thanksgiving. As much as I love sweets, this isn't sweet enough for me, lol.

Just the two of you one pie sounds perfect. I love pumpkin pie the most but pecan is delicious too. My one sister in law is making a cheesecake with fresh cranberries on top. I’m not sure what other deserts people are making. I think if I have enough pecans I might make pumpkin pie bars. I need pecans for a Brie I am making and unfortunately I’m not sure if I even have enough for that. I just went shopping yesterday to get food for thanksgiving but forgot to write down pecans.

Thanks, Happy Thanksgiving Pumpkin for sure since we are bringing it. I hope a pecan shows up too. When we used to go to my grandma's for Thanksgiving, there used to always be 3 or 4 pies I have had several here too when I hosted.

I no longer celebrate the day and have not had pie in ages. My favorite has always been apple pie. I don't think I will make anything special for myself. The one thing I do is look up the old Thanksgiving Day Parades on YouTube from when mom and I watched in NYC while the turkey was cooking. They bring nice memories. I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
