I hope those of you that celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I ate way too much. The store-bought meal was much better than expected; and we toasted my wonderful MyLot friends with some Barefoot Bubbly. I finished up our Christmas shopping by purchasing two gift cards -- that's all we had to buy. How far along are you with your shopping? Breakfast - Oatmeal/cinnamon breakfast bar Lunch - Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, cranberry sauce, Barefoot Bubbly Dessert/Snack - A small piece each of pumpkin pie and apple crumble top pie - lots of Cool Whip on the pumpkin pie of course! Dinner - NONE What did you eat yesterday? Did you eat too much? Photo Credit: Pixabay

@lovebuglena It wasn't really dry; and it wasn't really sweet. It was just nice.

I kept getting waked up yesterday. The neighbors had all their kids and grandkids over and two of their granddaughters like to lean against my bedroom window, giggling and telling each other how "naughty" they've been. (When they get old enough to actually do something really naughty, it should be very interesting. ) I ate a pear for breakfast, some smoked turkey, mashed potatoes and three homemade rolls for lunch then had three of the Cutie oranges for my supper with a handful of pecans for dessert. I hape you enjoy your day.

@LindaOHio Good, I'm glad! Yeah, the mom is okay but the son is a pain in my tush! They keep saying they're moving, start loading all their stuff into their vehicles and then come back a week later and move back in again.

@wolfgirl569 I used to LOVE to do all that cooking. I used to take off the day before Thanksgiving and cook and bake all day.

Same here. The only relatives left in my husband's family are cousins and us. We are the oldest living relatives on his side.

We had a similar meal to yours, turkey with all the fixin's. Cabbage salad added, for Jay. I didn't overstuff myself, neither did Jay. Yes, we each enjoyed a piece of pie after dinner, without an ounce of guilt or shame:) Supper? Nothing but a small box of craisins and a couple cups of coffee(milk). I think Jay ate something, I forget what.

Your dinner sounds good. I ate a half of a Subway sandwich today and some potato salad. How I could have been hungry after yesterday I do not know!!!

Our 20th celebration at school was literally unsuccessful because of heavy rains and flooding in Jeddah.

I made chicken for us and we all loved it, particularly Roscoe. I have enough left for tomorrow for us all, the kitties don't eat a lot so they only count for one helping.

Yesterday......I made fish and chips for supper. We also had steamed mixed vegetables with it. I am happy to hear that your meal was so wonderful. I was out and about today and did some shopping. I picked up some warm jogging pants and thick socks for my hubs. I also stopped at the bank and got $300 cash out to put into a couple of really small stockings for the girls. They do not know the value or meaning of money, but their parents do, and can use that for anything extra that they will need. The stockings are super tiny, only big enough for those bills. This afternoon I should go out and pick up a new wallet for my hubs. I am going to get him that for Christmas and then put some gift cards for his favorite places into it.

That all sounds really good. We don't want/need anything much. I bought myself a new jacket for winter; and hubs got me some jelly beans. I bought him a couple of new short-sleeve T-shirts.

Our Thanksgiving won't be until later today with our family, but I am sure we will do the same and eat too much. We always do. And we also usually make too much food, so there should be plenty of leftovers to make next week interesting for meals. lol Since it was just the wife and I just made a pork and kraut dish in the crockpot and it was delicious.
