The Carrot

A British fisherman called it 'sheer luck' when he caught a giant goldfish. Actually it was a carp but goldfish are the closest relative to the Prussian carp and, the carp is known as a wild goldfish. The 42-year-old Andy Hackett was fishing in Bluewater Lakes in Champagne, France when he caught the 67.5 female carp he calls "The Carrot". Usually, the giant carp is pale or brownish in color but this one was orange. ( In the picture, it looks just like a goldfish.)

@celticeagle It is a British who caught the fish in a French lake. He took a photo holding the fish in his arms and then replaced the fish in the lake.

And I had two gold fish for many years. One was dark orange, the other one was a lighter shade of orange. They never got big, fish grow according to the size of their environment.

The zoo we always go to for field trips has a nice pond full of carp, that look like huge goldfish. I understand when people catch "The Carrot" they release her.
