I pulled a few carrots out of the garden just now to put in some soup I'm thinking of making for supper and this is what I got. Would you count that as three carrots or five?

It's sunny and 11°C/52°F but the wind is cold. I was thinking of sitting outside to do my reading but I don't think so: after being out there for five minutes my fingers are frozen.

At first I thought they were exotic flowers. Good looking carrots, and they probably are closer to 5 than 3.

@just4him It was raining here something fierce until about half an hour ago. Now it's just drizzling, and 9°C/48°F, supposedly getting up to 12°C/53°F, according to Yahoo weather. According to the nice lady on the radio in Toronto, it's something completely different. It's only about 60 km or 38 miles as the crow flies, but I guess it makes a big difference on which side of the lake you are.

@BarBaraPrz I would think you should read inside since it is not nice weather outside. I hope it is warm inside to sit and read. Soup sounds good. i just had some and it was really good.
